Permits to work

Hot works, isolations and other high-risk tasks requested from site, approved by a named person, signed by the people doing the work and closed when it is finished, with every step timed and saved as a PDF.

Requested from site

An operative requests a permit from their phone, choosing the type, the task and the area. The request goes straight to the people you have chosen for that job, and their page shows "Waiting, do not start" until it is approved.

Approved by a named person

The site manager or office reviews the request, sets the controls, the time window and who it covers, and approves or refuses it. Everyone named on the permit is sent a link to read it.

Signed on site before work starts

Each named person reads the permit and its controls and signs it on their phone, but only once they have signed in at the site door that day. The permit can be signed with no signal and is recorded as soon as the phone reconnects.

Closed when the work is done

When the work is finished, the permit is closed from the operative's page or the office, with the time and who closed it. A closed permit cannot be reused, and every permit is kept as PDF evidence.

Questions

Can someone sign a permit that is not for them?

No. Only the people named on the permit can sign it, and only after signing in at the site door that day.

What if the permit is for yesterday?

It cannot be signed. Work needs a permit for the day it is done.
