Machine and plant checks

A QR tag on each tower, MEWP and saw. Scan it before use: no valid card, not a named operator, or a fault reported, and use is refused. Every check, refusal and fault is logged.

A QR tag on every machine

Add each mobile tower, MEWP, saw or other piece of plant to the job and print its QR tag. The tag opens that machine's own page, with its inspection status and the pre-use check for its type.

The card is checked first

When someone scans the tag, JobGate checks they hold the right card for that machine, such as PASMA or IPAF, that it is in date, and that they are a named operator if you have limited who can use it. If not, use is refused and the office is told.

A pre-use check every time

Before use, the operator works through the pre-use check for that type of machine, from brakes and outriggers to guardrails and emergency stops. A fault reported during the check takes the machine out of use until it is dealt with.

Inspections on schedule

Record statutory inspections against each machine. When an inspection is overdue, the machine is locked out on operatives' phones until you mark it inspected.
